過剰な歯肉の露出は、患者の審美的な関心事です。これは、笑顔の際に上顎歯肉が過剰に露出（3mm以上）している状態です。ガミースマイルの病因には、上顎の垂直方向の過剰、上唇の短さと過活動、受動的萌出の変化、歯槽骨の前方への押し出し、またはこれらの原因の組み合わせなど、さまざまなものがあります。適切な治療を行うためには、すべての病因を正しく診断することが重要である。ガミースマイルの管理には、歯肉関係を回復するための多くの手法が用いられてきました。リップリポジショニングは、過剰な歯肉の表示を治療するために使用される保存的な外科的手法です。これは、ほとんど知られていない治療法です。これにより、笑顔の際の唇の隆起が制限され、唇の膨らみが増します。この手法は、顎矯正手術と比較して、術式が短く、攻撃性が低く、術後の合併症が少ないようにデザインされています。今回のケースシリーズでは、lip repositioningで成功した3人の患者を紹介する。この論文の目的は、簡単な外科的処置でガミースマイルを減少させるためのLip repositioningテクニックを説明することである。リップリポジショニング、ガミースマイル、スマイルハーモニー

Excessive gingival display is an esthetic concern for patients. It is a condition in which an overexposure of the maxillary gingiva (>3mm) is present during smiling. There are different etiologies of a gummy smile, such as vertical maxillary excess, short and hyperactive upper lip, altered passive eruption, anterior dentoalveolar extrusion, or a combination of these causes. The correct diagnosis of all etiologic factors is imperative for its appropriate management. Many techniques have been used to restore the dentogingival relation for the management of gummy smile. Lip repositioning is a conservative surgical technique used to treat excess gingival display. It is a largely unknown treatment modality. This limits lip elevation on smiling and increases lip fullness. This technique was designed to be shorter, less aggressive and to have fewer postoperative complications compared to orthognathic surgery. In the current case series presents three patients who were successfully managed with lip repositioning. The aim of this article is to describe the lip repositioning technique to decrease gummy smile by a simple surgical procedure. Lip repositioning, gummy smile, smile harmony.
