渡り鳥は抗生物質耐性菌の乗り物となる可能性がある。本研究では、コリスチン耐性大腸菌 CLR8 を Larus argentatus の糞便から分離した。この株のゲノム配列は、プラスミドを介したコリスチン耐性遺伝子である CLR8 を宿主とすることを示している。
