抄録

マサチューセッツ総合病院の精神科相談室では、精神科の症状や状態を併存する内科・外科の入院患者を診察している。週2回のラウンドでは、Stern博士とコンサルテーションサービスの他のメンバーが、複雑な医学的または外科的問題を持つ入院患者の診断と管理について話し合っているが、その中には精神医学的症状や状態を示す患者も含まれる。このような議論の結果、医学と精神医学の境界線上で実践している臨床医にとって有用なラウンドレポートが作成されている。

The Psychiatric Consultation Service at Massachusetts General Hospital sees medical and surgical inpatients with comorbid psychiatric symptoms and conditions. During their twice-weekly rounds, Dr Stern and other members of the Consultation Service discuss diagnosis and management of hospitalized patients with complex medical or surgical problems who also demonstrate psychiatric symptoms or conditions. These discussions have given rise to rounds reports that will prove useful for clinicians practicing at the interface of medicine and psychiatry.
