Corrective Surgery for a Forearm Deformity in a Middle-Aged Patient with Multiple Hereditary Exostoses: A Case Report.

ケース:

48歳の男性が，多発性遺伝性外骨腫（MHE）による左前腕の変形に対して矯正手術を受けた。痛みの訴えはなく，前腕部の外観は改善し，14ヵ月後の追跡調査では手首と前腕部の許容範囲の動きが維持されていた．

CASE: A 48-year-old man underwent corrective surgery for a deformity of the left forearm because of multiple hereditary exostoses (MHE). The patient had no complaint of pain, the appearance of his forearm improved, and acceptable range of motion of the wrist and forearm were maintained at 14-month follow-up.

結論:

MHEの中年患者における前腕部の審美的変形は，機能を犠牲にすることなく改善することができた。成人のMHE患者に対する前腕矯正手術のエビデンスはほとんどないが，今回の報告により，前腕矯正手術の適応が広がる可能性がある。

CONCLUSION: The esthetic forearm deformity in the middle-aged patient with MHE was successfully improved without sacrificing function. Although there is little evidence of forearm corrective surgeries for adult patients with MHE, this report could expand surgical indications for them.
