Comparative evaluation of novel customized cushees during rubber dam isolation using self-designed evaluation criteria: A randomized clinical study.

抄録

背景:

ラバーダムは歯科治療において重要な役割を担っており、患者の受容性を高め、クランプによる不快感をなくすために様々な改良が行われてきた。

Background: Rubber dam plays essential role in dentistry and various modifications have been done to improve patients acceptance and to eliminate the discomfort caused due to clamps.

目的:

ラバーダムアイソレーションの際に使用するクッション付きメタルクランプと標準的なメタルクランプの有効性と術後成績を臨床的に評価する。

Aim: Clinical evaluation of efficacy and postoperative outcome of metal clamps with customized cushions and standard metal clamps during rubber dam isolation procedures.

材料と方法:

施設の倫理的承認とインフォームドコンセントを経て、64名の患者を2群に無作為に割り付けた。A群-カスタマイズされたクッション付きラバーダム金属クランプ（＝32人）、B群-標準的な金属クランプ付きラバーダム（＝32人）。グループAでは，適切なクランプを選択した後，カスタマイズ・クッションを作製し，修復を行いました．評価は、術後の痛み、ラバーダムの滑り、歯肉や隣接組織への外傷、両群の封鎖能力など、独自に設定した評価基準で行った。

Materials and Methods: After institutional ethical approval and informed consent total 64 patients were randomly assigned in two groups. Group A - rubber dam metal clamp with customized cushees ( = 32), Group B - rubber dam with standard metal clamp ( = 32). After selection of appropriate clamp for Group A, Customized cushions were prepared and restoration was performed. The evaluation was done using self-designed assessment criteria which included postoperative pain, rubber dam slippage, trauma to gingival and adjacent tissues and sealing ability of both the groups.

使用した統計解析:

SPSSソフトウェアバージョン18.0を用いてカイ二乗値を算出した。

Statistical Analysis Used: Chi-square value was calculated with SPSS software version 18.0.

結果:

術後疼痛、ラバーダムの滑り、歯肉組織の外傷は統計的に有意な差があり（＜0.001）、術後疼痛が軽減されていた。

Results: There was statistically significant difference between postoperative pain, rubber dam slippage, trauma to gingival tissues ( < 0.001) with reduced postoperative pain.

結論:

ラバーダムクランプの術後疼痛，歯肉組織への外傷，滑りの軽減において，クッションは標準的な金属製クランプと比較して重要な役割を果たした．

Conclusion: Cushions have played significant role in reducing postoperative pain, trauma to the gingival tissue and slippage of rubber dam clamp compared to standard metal clamps.
