考察:

上顎犬歯が萌出しない、あるいは位置が悪いためにラテラリティガイドが失われ、それが上顎側切歯に発生し、炎症性歯根吸収などの「咬合性外傷」の病巣を誘発することがあります。同様に、犬歯がうまく配置されないと、早期老化や顔貌の審美性の変化が起こる可能性があります。
