Myofunctional trainer for kids (T4K, Myofunctional Research Co., Australia)は、プレハブでシングルサイズの機能的装置であり、筋機能障害に作用し、下顎を前方へ再配置することで、早期に不正咬合を矯正することを謳っている。この症例では、混合歯列におけるII級不正咬合の治療として、トレーナーシステム™による筋機能療法が実施された。この結果から、患者の嗜好とコンプライアンスを考慮した、選択された症例における早期のアプローチが可能であることが示され、治療計画や関連する将来の研究において考慮される可能性がある。

UNLABELLED: Myofunctional trainer for kids (T4K, Myofunctional Research Co., Australia) is a prefabricated, single-size functional appliance that claims to correct malocclusion at an early age by acting on muscular dysfunctions and repositioning the mandible in a forward direction. Myofunctional therapy through the Trainer System™ was implemented in this case for the treatment of class II malocclusion in mixed dentition. The results showed that an early approach in selected cases, taking into account patient preferences and compliance, is possible and could be considered in treatment planning and relevant future research.
